Today we learned about Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone.
We finished the Greek god chart.
Then we had a Think With Ink on Fate vs. Free Will. We then read Oedipus Rex: the Cursed King and answered questions about it. Then we discussed the Think With Ink. Today we read one of 4 articles and then we met in groups with others.
Then we got into different groups and shared them with those who didn't read yours. Then we got back into the first group and came up with a fun way to present the info to everyone. We ended by copying down info about the Greek Pantheon for our study guide. After a couple video clips explaining ego, we had an ego think with ink. (attached below)
Then we read the myth of Narcissus and Echo and answered questions. Today we learned about the Hero's Journey and archetypes.
Then we went to the library to find archetypes in the various mythology books there. Today we had a Think with Ink on love.
Then we read "The Loves of the Gods" and answered the questions together. Lastly, we had the Aftermyth for both "Mighty Aphrodite" and "Loves of the Gods" myths. We shared our Pandora's Boxes and handed them in. We had a Think with Ink on celebrities and Greek gods. (attached below) We took notes on a video about the Roman influence on the modern world and why we should ALL CARE. We had a power point explaining the lesser known gods and people of Classical mythology. We started drafting our "Letter to a God" (attached below) ![]()

Next, we answered a few questions about beauty. Then we read the myth "Mighty Aphrodite". Today we went over what students said about the names of the months of the year and the days of the week.
Then we read the myth "Mighty Aphrodite" and answered questions about the pros and cons of mankind's fixation on beauty. Today we met the Olympian gods and goddesses.
We learned about the names of our months and days of the week. Then we read about the great flood. We also did our first Aftermyth on Prometheus, Pandora, and the creation of mankind. We finished the Prometheus myth. Then we answered some questions about it either alone or with a partner. Next, we talked about the significance of Classical Mythology, then we did something called an Aftermyth which we will do after most myths that we read and discuss. Lastly, we learned about the different Olympian gods and received our assignment to create a Pandora's Box. (attached below) ![]()
