Today we learned about lighting and color in film.
We will be looking at how lighting and color are used in our next film. We talked about Cave Theory and watched the film The Truman Show.
Then we watched some clips analyzing the film for its political and social implications. We then had time to type up our paper for the film. We started with a review of the different elements of sound in film.
Then we talked about the difference between soundtracks and scores. We did an activity called "Score the Score". We finished The Red Balloon.
Then we read a review of the movie and talked about it. Next, we did the 4 values on a sheet of paper for the film. We went over film vocabulary. We re-watched Elefante' and then analyzed it together for the 4 values of film.
Then we went over elements of the true plotline. We ended by starting the film The Red Balloon. Our first day was started with a disclosure document, a film interest survey, and read and discussed the early stages of the film industry.
Then we watched a short film called "Elefante'" which we will watch again and analyze next time in class. |
