We read some poems and talked about the importance of specific, concrete, vivid nouns in creative writing. Then we were assigned a picture out of a book. In groups, we identified the sensory words that would describe what is happening in that picture. Lastly, we started drafting a poem using these sensory words. (attached below)
We watched and discussed the film adaptation of the play.
