We peer edited 2 other students' essays and then we answered questions and discussed elements of having a dream and ambition.

4th term, here we come!
We finished our expository essay rough draft and our peer reviews.
We went to the library to look for a book for 4th term.
Then we had a think with ink called "Selfie" about self-image in American culture.
After that, we had time to finish drafting our rough draft.
After a fun puzzle to get more familiar with the Shaffer model, we worked on our outline.
We started our expository unit. We chose a type of vehicle to research and then we researched it.
Start with a thesis question and then what type of expository essay you will choose out of the 5 options.
Print 3 articles and then annotate them for 3 main ideas.
We wrote our last poem and then finished all other poems from the unit.
Then we had the rest of the time to read.
We had our next argumentative writing prompt in the writing lab.

Today we wrote a cheesy Hallmark card poem, a happy and a sad poem about the same moment, and a poem with some made up words.
We looked at words that Shakespeare invented and then we each invented a new word.
Then we invented a new word for a group of a species.
Then we wrote 3 short poems and used the newly invented word in one of the poems.
We finished our second poem called "A Bunch of NounSense" and started our next poem which is a dialogue poem.
We looked for a moment in a picture from a textbook. We wrote down imagery words from the picture, then we wrote a poem to capture that moment.
After reading, we finished our Bloomberry pie quiz.
Then we started our poetry unit.
