We talked more about Gothic elements. Then we received a random subject which students will write/create a Romantic era style poem or artwork.
We had a Think With Ink called "What If..." talking about what the world would be like if the Romantics had persuaded the rest of the world to live like them.
Then we watched videos explaining all things Gothic. Today we shared the Romanticism poem/artwork that we found and explained why it fits Romanticism.
Then we worked on our rejection letter. We watched some Romanticism clips to understand the Romanticism movement.
Then we read some more about Romanticism art and poetry. Students are assigned to find a good example of a Romantic poem or work of art to show to us next time. Make sure you send the artwork to nrice@alpinedistrict.org so the captain can show it. Then we ended with instructions for a rejection letter. Today we learned a note-taking strategy called the "What" style of note-taking.
We listened to a podcast on attention and distraction and took notes. We handed in the Homework Challenge. Then we read for 15 mins. Next, we learned how to annotate and then annotated 2 parts of an article. Then we did pair/compare/compare/share. We had a Think with Ink on Ambition. (attached below) ![]()
After a few more commercials, we filled out the PAPERS for 4 texts.
