We watched some clips from the film Joe Verses the Volcano and talked about what might happen based on the upsetting incident and call to action.

Then we talked about Lecan's Mirror Theory and what it means to romanticize.

Then we started the film Big Fish.

We looked up traits of romantic comedies and did a Venn diagram together comparing and contrasting the two films.
Then we had time in class to type up the paper on genre theory.

We finished He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, discussed genre frustration, and then started Lars and the Real Girl.  Then use the two films to analyze for genre theory.

We watched some short animated love films and a short poem/clip called "Look Up".

Then we started the film He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.

We learned about 15 essential shot types, film continuity, we watched another video that talks about how to analyze film.

Then we analyzed a short film called Fits and Starts by watching it once before drawing a cinematography element out of a hat and then watching the film again while looking only for that element.

We ended by watching two scenes from the film Joe vs. the Volcano and predicted what the story would be about based off of the two early scenes.

Today we learned about the history of cutting, transitions, the 180 rule, and some great moments in film.

Today we finished Inception and watched analysis videos that talked about the film.
